Jerry Jackson, of Pekin, Illinois, has been involved in softball for over 35 years. He started his softball career in 1975, umpiring local softball leagues. In 1981 he ran his first softball tournament. In 1993, Jerry was appointed the National Masters Director for another association.
This is when Jerry was introduced to the Senior Softball world. He started the Seniors Program for the other association in 1995.
Jerry joined the Independent Softball Association, ISA, in 2001. In 2002, he was appointed to the ISA Board of Directors. He presently serves ISA as the Northern Region V.P., Illinois State Director, and the ISA Seniors Program Director. Jerry also sits on the President's Council for ISA, helping make decisions for the association. Jerry also serves ISA's sister association, SSUSA, as a National Director. In 2011, Jerry received the Senior Softball Executive Directors Award.
Jerry has directed over 100 Senior World tournaments and helped direct several ISA World tournaments. Over the years, he has served on many ISA committees and has been chairman for several of these committees.
When Jerry is not directing a softball tournament, he enjoys playing pool and watching his youngest grandson, Hayden, play baseball and basketball.
Jerry and his wife Amy are the proud parents of 2 children, Joel and Brooke. They also have 2 grandsons, Tristan and Hayden.
