IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM DON STRATTON (CEO, ISA)
At the requsest of Don Stratton (CEO, ISA), I am posting the following message regarding team sanctions and classification:
THIS WILL IMPACT TEAMS FROM OUR REGION, SO PLEASE MAKE NECESSARY PLANS
Team sanctions and compliance:
Teams sanctions are based on the manager's home address if at least 51% of the players are from that state. Otherwise the team will be classified
and regulated by the state Director that the majority of the players are from. Teams can play in another state but their roster will be regulated by the state that the team is from. Teams can play in qualifying tournaments hosted in another state, but under no circumstances be they allowed to play in the State Championship outside of their "home state."
They must play in the State tournament where 51% of the players are from. Furthermore, if a team plans on playing in the Regional or World Series they must
have met the requirements for doing so. If you are not sure of the requirements, check with Hank Heffner (Asst CEO, ISA).
NOTE: If the home state does not offer the teams classification, then a team may play in another State tournament with approval from Region Director.
(example- if your home state does not have a GOLD state championship, they can seek approval to play in the GOLD state for a neighboring state)
ROSTER REVIEW:
All rosters will be reviewed by a committee before any team can play in an ISA State, Regional or World Series
